#BecomingTheBecks

Talk about happily ever after...

This weekend has been a magical one. My best friend from college married her high school sweetheart in front of all of their friends and family. It was such an honor standing next to Morgan on her big day sharing the love, laughter, and memories!!

I am so incredibly excited to see the love between Morgan and Justin continue to grow. Marriage is the goal. Committing yourselves to one another before God in front of everyone who supports your happiness and love is the dream. Morgan and Justin have achieved this in every way.

Cheers to Morgan and Justin on their fairy tale!

Sweet Summertime

Happy Monday world!!

I've been sitting here on my couch snuggled in a blanket for the past two hours reading, sipping on coffee, and enjoying my first OFFICIAL day of summer 2016!

Oh how things have changed since the last time I wrote on my blog. You know, my intentions of blogging two years ago about my student teaching experience were not as realistic as it turned out to be. Stepping into a classroom with 22 kiddos and having full responsibility as one of their teachers was more than enough on my plate.

One thing that has not changed though is my LOVE for blogging!! Even though I have not been doing it myself, I constantly find myself catching up with my favorite bloggers and reading into their world as a teacher making a difference one child at a time.

So now what?

While I can't promise (again) that I will blog my daily experience in the classroom and the exciting daily milestones of a single 24 year old woman, I can say that I am back! Being that I'm finally at a steady place in my career and life, blogging is now back on the table.

Summer has officially begun and I'm already wondering what fun things I'm going to get myself into...!!! While I have many plans to prepare for my sweet peas in the fall, I am also trying to avoid the "boredom" of not have a steady schedule anymore. Do any of you teachers feel this way also?

Today's schedule:
-Update my blog (check)
- Drink 2 cups of black coffee (check)
- Sit poolside while reading my current novel Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
- Cook a low carb lunch because I'm standing in a wedding in less than 6 days
-  Hang with sister and watch The Bachelorette while sipping on some Pinot
- Smile (check)

Sounds like the perfect day to me...
